Aside from Pumpkin Spice and Apple Pie, there’s one more way to make the most of the season and that’s spending a little time in the Smokies! It’s leaf peeping season, generally lasting through the beginning of November, and we’ve got some great recommendations for making the most of your trip to God’s Country.

Bear-Varian Fall Festival at Anakeesta: Anakeesta is serving up fantastic views, Halloween-themed decor, seasonal specials, live entertainment, and enhanced lighting. No additional cost!
September 20-October 30
Dollywood’s Harvest Festival: It’s time for the Great Pumpkin LumiNights at Dollywood along with the much anticipated fall foods, craftsmen, and the near endless fall displays. Food, fun and entertainment all day and into the night!
September 29-October 28
13th Annual Fall Fest (Oktoberfest) at Ober Gatlinburg: Bavarian-style food, drink and music will be served up indoors and out with a beautiful backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Incredible views and bountiful fun!

Rotary Club Fall Crafts Fair: Located at Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge and open every day from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.! Admission is by donation which supports several Rotarian charitable giving projects. Shop with talented artists and crafters from across the USA under the big white tent.
October 1-31
Boo Bash at Gatlinburg Skylift Park: Special fall series featuring events with gorgeous sunrises, music, fall decorations (great family photo ops!) and even trick-or-treat parties. “Smoky Mountain Sunrise” events are held Tuesdays & Thursdays, and are available to a limited number of guests with a VIP ticket.
October 6-8
Smoky Mountain Homecoming: Enjoy arts, crafts, music, and food during this three-day fall festival held at the Robert A. Tino Gallery. Parking is free and admission is $5 for those ages 13+. Friday 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Tino farm in Sevierville.
October 5-22
Gatlinburg Fall Craftsmen’s Fair: Every day from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. you can enjoy a fall tradition of visiting 100’s of craftsmen from around the country at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Enter for just the day or purchase a multi-day pass to browse and shop vendor tables, grab a bite to eat and enjoy live entertainment. This is a great place to pick up the best of the best seasonal decor, souvenirs and Christmas gifts.
